Stuart achieved his Brown Belt from Anthony Lange late in 2004. He has been training in Jiu-Jitsu since 1995 and has consistently competed in nearly every Jiu-Jitsu tournament since then, winning the Australian Challenge 2004 in the purple belt division. Stuart has also fought in kick boxing, mixed martial arts from amateur to professional, recently fighting for a light weight title in the Warrior's Realm event. Stu has started a school in the Coffs Harbour region along with Dacian & Moses.
